Agree. I can actually handhold it when needed, but I prefer a tripod or beanbag.

I'm really enjoying the 5D IV paired with it for bird photography. 7 FPS isn't blazing, but just enough to get multiple shots so you can pick the best one. This Golden-Crowned Kinglet is an example...super jittery bird, and hardly bigger than a hummingbird. I liked this shot in particular, as the bird is in the shade, but background in the sun.

Double-Crested Cormorant, taken in bright mid-day sun...am enjoying the dynamic range and the ability to pull up shadows without noise (compared to my 7D II). Seems to perform really well with the 1.4x III teleconverter also.

Sdentrem, I just have to respond to your Golden-crowned Kinglet photo. That shot is one of the finest bird photos I've ever seen. As you say, they are flitty and nervous. This is the best I've ever seen a kinglet - and best photo too. Love the texture in the branch, love the background light. This shot is just perfect.
