Great... Now we're going to hear that the 5DIV really does take crappy photos!

Sdentrem, I just have to respond to your Golden-crowned Kinglet photo. That shot is one of the finest bird photos I've ever seen. As you say, they are flitty and nervous. This is the best I've ever seen a kinglet - and best photo too. Love the texture in the branch, love the background light. This shot is just perfect.

Thanks Mike. They are tough targets!

The obligatory duck photo with the 5d IV. I underexposed it by 1.5 stops by mistake, and rescued it in post (which I couldn't do with my 7D II, in part why I bought it!). Taken with 500 f4 and 1.4x handheld. This combo is much more handholdable than same lens and TC with my 7D II, which is much more sensitive to slight errors in handholding technique. This is a crop of about half the image.

Also, a Great Blue Heron with the 5d IV. 500 F4 and no TC, on a monopod. Slight crop.

Good shot! I took this one of a Pomarine Jaeger a few weeks back.

It took me a little bit, but I'm really starting to love this camera.
What seemed like a blah upgrade from the 5D3 on paper, it has turned out to be quite a surprise.
