I really like this as it gives context but I can't quite get my head around it. Aren't the clouds usually in front of the moon? Please explain what we are seeing!

Thank you. The image was taken as the moon was rising behind the mountain and it was a little cloudy. In front of the moon there is a small, thin cloud running horizontally through the middle of the moon. The other clouds are also very close to the moon as well and the moon is illuminating them very softly. The image is a single photograph converted to B&W with the highlights toned down a little to keep the moon from being too bright.

Ah, I found an explanation for it here. (external link) Well done that you captured the phenomena!

Hi, anyone using SterlingTEK E6 batteries in Canon 5D mark IV? I have two original E6n batteries but want more batteries to buy and not sure what to choose.

First image is before sun rise - hence the poor quality.

Really like the first shot. An air of suspense about it... The scene right before something happens in a movie.

A question for the 5D4 think-tank;

I feel like i have read about the Main Dial getting wacky on the 5D4? Mine is starting to act up. Am I write in thinking this is a small issue that crops up with the 5D4? Is the only fix a trip to Canon?

thanks in advance.

I've got one. No problems so far, but I've only had it since mid-August.

What exactly is it doing?
