xinvisionx Goldmember More info | The 85mm 1.8 is really impressive and I barely purchased it December of last year. I should've purchased it a long time ago. My name is James ~ Gear

I was checking the AF on a lens that I just got back from Canon. The repair order indicated that the AF wasn't engaging correctly. I had some problems with it a few times before sending it in where focus was searching and wouldn't lock even in good light. AF is fast and accurate now. I'm pretty happy with the result. I was originally hiking the trail with my 16-35mm on...but that just wasn't working this morning with the bright sun and nearly clear skies as it diminished the size of the Superstitions pushing them far away. We need some monsoon action badly. But man it's non-existent this year. I've gotten a few lightning shots so I'm thankful I got something. Yeah the 85 1.8 has been on my list of lenses to have "someday" There's just no replacement for it's unique look.
