I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

Gotta love that 85mm f1.8 look; I was hiking that trail nearly every AM til it got unbelievably hot here!!

Bring on this alleged "monsoon"!! So far I'm unimpressed!

The 85mm 1.8 is really impressive and I barely purchased it December of last year. I should've purchased it a long time ago.

I was originally hiking the trail with my 16-35mm on...but that just wasn't working this morning with the bright sun and nearly clear skies as it diminished the size of the Superstitions pushing them far away.

We need some monsoon action badly. But man it's non-existent this year. I've gotten a few lightning shots so I'm thankful I got something.

A brother (cactus) from another mother. I was checking the AF on a lens that I just got back from Canon. The repair order indicated that the AF wasn't engaging correctly. I had some problems with it a few times before sending it in where focus was searching and wouldn't lock even in good light. AF is fast and accurate now. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Yeah the 85 1.8 has been on my list of lenses to have "someday" There's just no replacement for it's unique look.

Yeah the 1-3 lightning storms were nice to see, luckily I got some shots on one of them. One of the reasons I picked Phx was the whole storm/monsoon photo potential. Lets hope things change!

Very nice and it's Eilean Donan. Eilean is the Gaelic for Island.

Many thanks Annie, for liking the photo and also for pointing out the error. *Doh* I have corrected now.

Lovely little grove of "goblin" trees and mossy rocks at The Fairy Glen on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
