Amtrak 364 Blue Water tied down for the night in Port Huron, Michigan...

i THINK this was with my 7D. 17-55 f2.8 lens (again i THINK)...

would have been pretty high ISO, pretty slow shutter speed and maybe f5.6(?) to get a little depth of field...

im editing because i noticed i needed all of this info although i dont think it was included in the file...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

Looks like this challenge is forgotten

It is most annoying when people don't bother to follow or check competitions they enter or set, and discourteous to those who put some effort into their entries and get them in on time.

In this case the "judge" was late starting the challenge, gave little time for entries, and abbreviated the usual opening post with no explanation of what he meant by "leading lines", which some people might not have understood. Despite that, we have quite a few entries, so let's hope he gets around to judging soon and passes the job to someone else.

FstopMiami123, please excuse my rant if you are ill or have some emergency that keeps you off the internet.

If no response by tomorrow maybe a moderator could step in and judge to keep this challenge from dying?

Or, perhaps for just this time, we could use the P&S challenge method of giving score by those who want to, or only the participants. Just an idea to bring this to a close.

Good idea, Sibil. In the G-series challenges, two mods that I know of act as guardian angels. If a host makes a mistake, they step up and intervene. The present challenge seems orphaned by comparison.

I've clicked on "report" and asked for a mod to step in and judge. It seems the quickest way to resolve this and keep the challenges going.

Since there's still no action for FstopMiami123, and no response from a moderator, maybe we should go with Sibil's idea?

How about each of the current entrants votes on who (other than themselves) they would choose as winner? Then on Monday Sept. 19th, the one with the most votes is declared winner and jump-starts us with a new challenge ASAP?

I'll start it off - Darkslinger's woman in the alley would be my top choice - lots of leading lines there!
