How about each of the current entrants votes on who (other than themselves) they would choose as winner? Then on Monday Sept. 19th, the one with the most votes is declared winner and jump-starts us with a new challenge ASAP?

I'm in favor. Two details: just when will the voting period close, and shall we extend the franchise to nonentrants?

My vote goes to teekay's streetcar.

My own preference is to keep it quick and simple so we can get these challenges going again, i.e. Vote until Monday noon (Pacific time) Sep 19, and entrants only.

Next time, shoot me a PM and I will be happy to help. I just saw this in reported posts because I only check them every 2-3 days.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

It is most annoying when people don't bother to follow or check competitions they enter or set, and discourteous to those who put some effort into their entries and get them in on time. . . .

FstopMiami123, please excuse my rant if you are ill or have some emergency that keeps you off the internet.

Well, this is odd. FstopMiami had said he'd be in the UK, so I thought, all right, he's traveling, maybe he got stuck somewhere, incommunicado. But he's posting. Screenshot taken just now:

teekay, it looks like your rant isn't excused and needn't be. Good rant.

I think he just carelessly copied that UK reference from the previous challenge and wasn't relevant at all, so my rant could probably have been rantier.;-)a

Ooh, I checked Challenge #430 and you're right!

At this point, speaking my mind would get me in trouble.

Yep, the UK reference was mine. He just did a C&P of my post.

I appreciate you taking charge of this, Teekay.

The only problem is that when this happens, and the challenge is drawn out an extra week, then we won't get all 52 challenges in this year. Because the host has been so very irresponsible, we all get cheated out of a challenge.

.

Thanks, OhLook, for that screenshot of the OP's activity...........that is very telling.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
