The first shot I share just to try to convey the fun I had today trying to get shots with all the motion going on.

I'd love C&C on number two looking for ways to improve. I went manual with number two trying to get high shutter speed (because it was windy) and wider aperture (to try to get both dragonflies in focus). That forced my ISO up. Too much noise? I only got about 50% on the Depth of Field too.

Dragonflies = eyes very close, bigger bugs.
Damselflies = eyes far apart, smaller. So these are damsels!

IMO f/11 is a very suitable aperture for shooting bugs. The shot looks good to me, sharp, good pose, nice mostly unobtrusive background.

Archibald - Thanks for the Damsel vs Dragon clarification. I'm new, mostly hampered because my field guide is at my daughters.

All - Thanks for the kind comments on the shots. The work you all post to the macro forum is top drawer so I'm honored by the positive feedback when it comes from you all.
