The framing is a little different and ambient light conditions could have changed between shots making that necessary for an equivalent exposure. My 5D4 meters a little differently than my 5D3. This could be another factor. The numbers don't necessarily equate to 'more light' for the 5D4. Sometimes not taking a photograph can be as problematic as taking one. - Alex Webb
