About a half hour after sunrise

There were 5 rams hanging out with each other, I guess it's a bit early for the rut. Although they may not be friends in a few weeks. So I figured I was somewhat safe to get a bit closer, considering there wasn't any signs of aggression, but I had an escape plan, if they turned on me. I did not see any females that day.

There was blue sky to the East, and a rainstorm rolling in from the west. Which is why is some shots you see bright sunshine in the foreground and then dark sky in the BG.

The same herd, they just moved to higher ground after breakfast. They went down the cliff, and I didn't think I would see them again. So I wasn't around for when they ascended. The first is a wide shot of the cliff face.

This second is just a close up.

Then this was right when I arrived, more of a landscape shot, but you can just make out the little dots in the center, are the rams from the first shots. You can also see the above cliff just to the left of them.

Good stuff! I like #6 the best. That's where sheep should be.

Always great to see bighorns. The light and dark skies add a lot of interest to the photos. Looks like a great area to be out in. Thanks for sharing and nice work getting up on these guys.:-)
