Shot my first volleyball of the season Friday. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy volleyball!

Nice shots!

Are you using strobes or flash? If not, that gym must have really good lighting to shoot at relatively low ISO and high shutter speed.

Most, if not all, of the gyms I've shot volleyball at had poor lighting. I had to shoot with ISO around 6400-12800, and with shutter speeds around 1/200-1/800. I don't think I've ever been lucky enough to hit 1/1000 and higher....even with 1DX2.

Yeah, it's just really good lighting! It's nice to be spoiled here but it does cause me to freak out a bit when I go to another venue and have to bump up the ISO past 6400!
