I like the simple clean layout but found that when swapping between individual images in the lightbox it was very slow.

I like the layout of the of the portfolio page with the individual image appearing when you highlight the menu option and then going into the image gallery.

However the recent work section seems a little unstructured and a needless duplication of the images in the portfolio. It doesn't provide anything new that I can't get from the portfolios.

For me "work" (or projects) are separate/discreet projects that share a specific image style or theme - or are projects undertaken for a client. As such I present each one as a separate entity rather than all mixed together Flickr photostream style. This gives the viewer a clearer idea of what is is you actually do.

On that last point - your site does tell me if you are a hobby photographer or a professional actually/actively looking for work. If the later I would add some meaningful info on who/where you are, what you do and full contact details.

Thank you, this is exactly what i was looking for!

- i try slightly lower image quality to make it more responsive and faster.
- you are correct, recent work is unstructured and i need to remove those duplicities. My goal was to have first page with all recent images all like the most.
- I honestly have no idea what is my specilization, photography is still my hobby. I should add some personal info, i totally forgot.

Thanks again, your points are valid and very helpful.

When I started out my website was much like yours. I couldn't decide what I wanted to photograph so my website had a bit of everything. That is perfectly fine.

However, after a while I started to want "a style" and to find some focus so I started to concentrate on certain genres of photography. Those genres get shown in my portfolio while other stuff tends to go in my blog.

Landing page on my phone is a gallery... you should reconsider this. Pick your best image... or best 3.
