10 is crazy wide, I was looking more at the 12 or 15 but those are great examples. All these choices have me paralyzed.

Has there been any word on when reviewers will be able to get their hands on one of these?

In my opinion, I still feel the EF-M glass system is still not there where the competitors (Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus, etc, etc etc) have in the market.

Hope they have a (FF, APS-C) mirrorless series where EF (EF-S) glass can mount straight without adaptors when the system is mature.

i can't imagine anyone thinks the ef-m lenses are good enough for more than just casual shooting....there's really not much they offer...personally i'd just be happy with a longer than normal prime...gimme a 50mm f1.8 and i'm done with buying lenses for my M

Maybe its something you have to experience to understand but who looks through a viewfinder like that.

Me... for one.

I wouldn't consider any of the earlier M-series because they lacked any viewfinder. There are just too many situations where an LCD screen is difficult or impossible to use and a viewfinder is so much better. I will now consider the M5 as a compact, unobtrusive, lightweight alternative. It just seems a little expensive initially, but I bet it will drop in price over time.

Hopefully Canon makes a few more prime lenses for the M series.

In the meantime, Rokinon is making a bunch of interesting EF-M primes. Manual focus and aperture control only, but they seem to be getting very favorable reviews and reasonably priced. Currently: 8mm f2.8 (fisheye), 10mm f2.8, 12mm f2.0, 16mm f2.0, 21mm f1.4, 35mm f1.2, 50mm f1.2 and 300mm f6.3 (reflex).

Mikaton is making a 35mm f0.95 "Noctilux".

You also can adapt any Leica M-mount ever made, for use on EOS-M. A lot of different manufacturers have made lenses in M-mount.

Youre that far away from the viewfinder when you look through it?

I had a chance to shoot with one with the 15-45 attached at an event.
Not very long time though about 20 minutes.

But in that time I used the EVF and my thumb to move the focus points...very cool almost as cool as the old Canon eye control focus (dang with todays tech that feature would just be "da bomb"). It was very fast and easy to use.

I tested it against very bright objects in bright lit cases in an over all very dark show room. Stellar performance

Fired off Servo AF sequences of a quick kid and there was no EVF black out between frames.

Targeted dark corners at the base of display cases in an already really dark showroom and it very quickly nailed focus on features on the floor in the corners.

Colors were typical great Canon science in Standard mode.

Convinced me that my pre-order of it with 18-150 and the 28 macro will probably be ok.
Figured the EF adapter and the Tammy 150-600 would make a nice light run around combo instead of my 1DXII and Sigmonster. ;-)a

The burning question is: Did your nose get in the way and change the focus point"... serious question.

I pre-ordered, but then cancelled when the a6500 got announced. Oh well, might pick one up to review in the future.
