Forget "waiting for the reviews", I'm waiting for my new camera to get here! It's like waiting for Christmas as a five year old...How many days to go now? And I thought I developed patience as I've gotten older...silly me.

If I take enough pictures, at least one of them should turn out...maybe

I pre-ordered in september. I got an email yesterday saying they need to reauthorise my card as the authorisation has expired, hopefully that means they're getting ready to send it

Thoughts from people on this board or the big name channels? The big name channels are going to claim not as cool as fuji, DR not as good as Sony, lens line up worst than Olympus, fluttering how Canon is too late to this party. (:

In practical, I think it has me curious but not hard. :-D

I'm not overly concerned about those factors. On the whole it looks to be a well designed, cheaper alternative to many of those with decent DR and no 4k, which I don't care about anyway. It would more seamlessly slot in to my Canon setup and should use my existing EF or EF-M lenses without trouble. I find it tempting, but not currently a must have.

once upon reviews and photo samples are beginning to appear at the web, I would consider getting one if they're positive about the new body, as right now I'm selling my EOS M locally so next year I could make the jump again to a canon mirrorless system if the price is right.

The lack of lens did it for me. Remember people slating Sony for producing quality bodies but ignoring a lens system for them. They now have a superb lens selection but they're HUGE. Canon, why produce a good small body then have to use large lens to get the best from them. Factor in an adaptor and the size shoots up. I would rather not use adaptors to get a lens to work.

The 'M' series has slipped by me now even though I really liked it upon its announcement. I've got a Fuji X-t1 on the way instead with another few lens once I decide what ones............

looks like a keeper for me... def. going to get it with the adapter and use some prim lenses on it. 35mm and 50mm in particular. This will be my Everything Camera.

I just pre-ordered mine (with the 18-150 lens). I had the original M and have been using the M3 with the 22 pancake for every day shooting and even going out with my wife (I am married to a Filipina and having a camera at all times is a requirement). I find them to be very good for what we use these camera; not as replacements for our dslr, but as cameras to use when we go out or just taking pics of our daily lives. My wife actually liked the M3 so much that she gave her SL1 to her sister and decided that she would use the M3. While my daughter likes using her t5i, she wants to take the M3 on her trip to Israel because of the size. I was going to order just the body or the 15-45, but my daughter really wanted the 18-150 so that she could take it with her on her trip to Israel. I get the M5; they share the M3 and the new lens. All in family are happy.

I watched this Kai review after leaving DRTV (In fact I realized that after seen that the review was on his own youtube channel). AF performance looks nice (years ahead the EOS M I could compare with), image quality also seems nice from the review too, high ISO seems very usable, just to confirm this after seen the first hi-res samples here to pull the trigger maybe in next black friday or cyber monday hehehe

Where does the 1.75 crop number come from?

Ah, my bad morning math, you're right 1.75 is wrong. Crop is 2x (which is even better).

Edit: Sorry for causing the confusion, I need coffee. I thought EOS-M = Micro 4/3, apparently not so anymore.
