Ah, my bad morning math, you're right 1.75 is wrong. Crop is 2x (which is even better).

I thought the crop factor would be 1.6 ?

APSC is 1.6x if I remember rightly.

Wait I thought this has the same sensor as the 80D? So the crop factor will be 1.6x. Did I miss something?

Perhaps when using EF lenses it will be a slightly different FOV than stated on the lens? APS-C is 1.6

No EF lenses draw a bigger circle on the sensor, for the crop factor to be larger, you would have to cover part of the sensor, effectively losing resolution at the same time. Maybe I am not thinking straight.

Yeah it uses the 1.6x aps-c size sensor.

Sorry for causing the confusion, I need coffee. I thought EOS-M = Micro 4/3, apparently not so anymore.

80D isnt full frame.... its 1.6x compared to full frame.

I had it pre-ordered but cancelled. I'll wait for the Fuji XT-20

Much better lens selections.

Agreed, but when you get to lens of a certain size, isn't the camera always just an attachment anyway?:-)

The lack of non native lenses is where the issue is...not much in the EF-M mount...if you're going to use EF lenses then you're not really gaining much in the smaller size of the M5
