Looks great... if they only had a few more lens selection :(

35 F2 IS pancake and some constant aperture zooms... even if they are F4.

+1. 35 F2 would really make me consider this.

I'm really hoping for 40mm plus, can skip IS too...but something faster than f2.8

If your outside in the sun taking photos at ISO 6400 1/100 and F11 for a proper exposure they will always look better than indoor/outdoor night time shots that are shot at ISO 6400 1/100 and F2 for a proper exposure

ISO 6400 in alot of light looks good because the bright light hides the noise better

ISO 6400 when you "NEED" it for proper exposure in a lower lit venue will look worse due to dim light.

he's saying shoot in a dark environment where you NEED 6400, like a dark reception hall or church, etc.

Hrm,

The more I follow this camera, the more I hope Canon releases a 22mm F2 II with a faster autofocus mechanism. Being able to have a field of view I'm used to with my full frame & 35mm would be excellent for an "everything" camera. F2 is just icing on the cake. The heel is the slow AF performance of the 22mm F2 STM regarless of which camera it's on, it's just not slow. The 40 STM & 50 STM focus faster, significantly, even though they're still not that fast, and are noisy. The 18-55 STM focuses really fast and is totally silent. Finding a way to reboot the 22mm F2 to be as fast as the 40/50 STM would be sufficient for me.

The idea of being able to have the M5 be a small camera with a small lens for every day, travel, etc, would be great, and being robust enough to attach bigger lenses and use it as I would normally my other dSLR would just make it a better general purpose camera. I will be very curious how it performs with telephoto lenses for action.

Very best,

I see what you mean. I had it in Aperture priority and auto ISO. I'll try it
