It is the 2nd shot that shows the softness of the rear Pelican due to shallow DoF more-so than the 1st.

These two were doing some sorta territorial standoff - almost mirroring each others every move. I wish I had video'd it.

I don't think it was a mating thing, because one got tired of it & just flew off.

i just re-edited this one a few minutes ago to try and get rid of any bright spots in the sand...
