He's old, and sleeps 22 hours or more a day. Gets up to eat and say hi... Then it's back to sleep. Not sure how much time we have left with him. Any thoughts or opinions on how to make it better? Thanks in advanced.

The blacks are looking gray to me. Is that what you see too?

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for. This image may need the blacks pulled down a bit if they are indeed grays.

You may want to get down on the floor with him and get a few shots at his level.

I agree. Get him looking at you.

In terms of your image, the colours look a little 'washed out' to my eye. That may be your intent, as it is a style that works for old dogs. Try lowering the blacks first.
