There are some mint camera in the classifieds forum, unfortunately all are in US. With the exchange rate, duties and tax it doesn't make sense to ship to Canada. Otherwise I'd have definitely picked one up from one of the forum veterans.

5D IV is $4500 in Canada, which is $1000 more than what 5D III at launch, most of it is due to exchange rate but that makes it too rich for my blood.

The exchange rate has made everything more expensive than it was 5 years ago. People are asking 2700 for Mark III which doesn't make sense since BNIB is 3K.

I can ship US cameras to my siblings in US but I don't like to bother anyone with my crap. ;-)a

Sold my 5D3 on Craigslist today. I listed it for $1800. Posted that it had less than 5K clicks (true of course), and received a lot of responses. Half were low-ballers. Expected. But one was so bad ($850 offer) that I decided to eff with him. "I replied where do you want to meet?", they replied "Midtown or Queens works". I then replied, "make sure to put a 1 in front of that offer". They then replied "yeah after I take a $h1t!" :-P

In the end, one replied that she was very interested. Never even bothered to negotiate. I sent her an email with the shutter count. She was very pleased. We met this morning and she gave me $1600 cash, $200 PayPal!

She was also very happy with the condition. See said it looked new. And it does. I also surprised her with the 3rd party grip and screen protector that I did not mention in the CL ad.

And if that isn't enough, my wife sent me an SMS of the 5D4 that arrived this morning!

we are doing a some landscaping in our side yard soon, tearing up some concrete we inherited from when the house was in fact a train depot,. thinking of putting down some crushed bluestone and pavers..

...but I'm thinking instead of bricks, we could use some of these very affordable 5D3s! ;)
