Interested in delving into video just with a smartphone to take some behind-the-scenes shots.

Anyone have any experience with a value steadycam or stabilizer that can be used with a smartphone?

Looking for something simple <$100 preferably <$50

Just FYI, I decided to splurge a little bit by getting a Zhiyun Smooth-C gimbal for the smartphone for $180; the price seems to be going down (as it used to be $220) because a new version is being released:

Plenty of reviews of it in action on Youtube:

I used something very similar for a short time. I actually ended up returning it as I found it awkward to transport (which sort of defeated the point of iPhone video for me as I needed it to be super quick to setup) but the results with these things are so impressive. No in camera stabilisation (not even the gimbal variety like Sony BOSS) come close to the distinct look of these.

Good to see they're becoming cheaper now as I think I paid £300 at the time!!!

You happen to remember what brand/model it was?

From looking at the videos this one looks (relatively) small, all I need to be able to do is fit it into a camera backpack. I guess I'll find out in a couple of days. :-D
