thanks Richard , I am over the moon with the i.q from the old four thirds 50-200SWM lens , it cost me with the MFT adaptor well under half of the equiv MFT one .. I'm totally buzzing with it

these really are showing the quality of the lens/ camera
The EM1 is on a very special priced special at the moment, $500+ off.
But I'm curious for the EM5 111 and what that holds!

I'll be looking at the Panasonic 100-400 end of week again.
But with the 40-150 + MC 1.4 I have it's hard to justify - realise its going to 400 - double what I get with the current.
Decisions!!

I have looked at the specs of the 5.mkiii and although it carries some benefits I don't really think its on a par with the 1-mkii .. again the Panasonic lens does work with mine as you have seen BUT its still a f6.3 lens and needs decent light to avoid high i.s.o , which again involves a degree of skill in p.p to do the shots justice .

there's no such thing as a free lunch . you have to work on your own budget and skill levels plus the type of light that you work with .. I'm on the north Wales coast which is notorious for poor light with clouds and rain a lot of the time but we do get some good days so I look out of my window up the estuary and judge what the prevailing winds are bringing in before venturing out .

good luck whatever you choose ... but all I can add is the firmware update on the omd1-mkii made my mind up before that I wouldn't have given it a second glance

thanks for response
yes that f6.3 is a bit of a concern, especially as I like to use my camera in not so bright light.
It's really that that holds me back.

Agree on comments re EM1. Its hard to ignore.

I will wait and see what EM5 111 gives up though

read the spec its online Richard ... take a look at the E.MIX to price has dropped and virtually every pro or semi pro I know has changed to it . I was sorely tempted ..

the main thing I like with mine though is I can leave the EVF on constant display and it doesn't seem to run the battery down at all lowest after a day out is just above 50% If that's possible on the 5-mkiii ? will it work as it has a smaller battery ???

bit back to front but here's the first two images in the running deer series , sort of puts it in context ...trouble with me is I p/p the best individual shots first .. mistake this time .. it all happened in a few seconds didn't have time to change focus points or zoom back just spray and pray ... the camera never let me down either
