in comments on youtube peoples said that bokeh not so good... but its indoor shots with many strange lights.

I also foudn that leaves in the background are just distracting... I don't like those kinds of photos for samples.

It's hard to believe so many people on YouTube are not happy with a lens they've never even seen in person. Haha Ohhhh YouTube comments.

I've been told by Sigma that this lens was shipping late October. Oddly enough, Sigma said it would ship by the "end of the month" and they told me October 31st. Haha Now it's fair to say a small number of people received their preorders and I didn't, but it's more likely the lens has been delayed to the rumored November 10th ship date I've seen in a few places.

It's likely the delays spawned from incompatibility with the 1DXII and/or 5D Mark IV, which really goof up image files when Art lenses are mounted and peripheral illumination correction is active.

Either way, this lens can't come soon enough.

I preordered within 20 min of the links opening up. I'm pretty sure I'll get mine first shipment not a huge demand.

I'm being told shipping next week so I should see mine somewhere around the 15-18th

Mine was ordered within the first 48 hours, but I had to cancel my order because I included a 5D4 battery grip on the order that wouldn't ship until the lens was in stock...so I had to cancel that order and then re-order it about a week later, unfortunately. So I know that bumped me a little further down the list...but I've waited years, so I can wait a few more days if need be.

I can wait too. I really don't see this lens being a stock issue once it's delivered to the vendors. Based on my other thread where I have a poll it shows that 60% of those who voted are not interested in the new art and 37% are waiting for real/public reviews. only 5% pre-ordered so I'm not worried about inventory issues.

I've inquired to my shipping status. I leave on the 19th for a NYC trip.... it's for our anniversary. Seems like I need to take the 85 with me ;)

I will say this... for testing purposes using the 5D4 DPAF means 100% accurate no focus issues. This is how I'll be testing my lens when I get it for straight IQ and then move to regular focusing to dial in the MA adjustments.
