The color matches with the lens, but the lens color is more brighter:

The image above shows the bright difference.

Fell free to ask questions about it.

I think it can be used with versions ii and iii of this lens.

Hi guys! Just bought an excelent collar ring for my 70-200 f/4.

But I don’t know what are those two little screws under the base of the collar. See the picture bellow.

Can you tell me? I just remove them out, otherwise the lens stays unstable over my desk.

The little screws on the foot prevent your rig from sliding out of the clamp on your ball head and crashing to the ground if it becomes loose for any reason.

Those two screws are designed for use on a Arca Swiss type clamp in your tripod head ONLY.

What kind of tripod, and what kind of head are you using?

If you are not using an Arca Swiss type clamp in your tripod head, you should remove those two screws so it can sit flatter on your tripod head, quick release plate, or any other flat surface

yeah. if he were using arca swiss he'd probably know that. I use arca swiss and I would still remove the screws. they don't do anything for me nor would that arca china bevel :-D

I have an old tripod and must upgrade. I’m thinking in buying the Benro it15. It’s light, small, can turn into a monopod, and (most important) fits in my budget. After your explanation about the screws, I saw that the benro tripod head is compatible. What do you think?

Unfortunately, products in Brazil are very expensive because of taxation. That’s why I choose the non is version of the 70-200 f/4. Now, I have to invest in a good (and cheap) tripod. Lol

What do you think about the Benro one? Any suggestions?

I don't know that particular tripod but benro and sirui make decent inexpensive tripods. you do know the rule of thumb with tripods? Light. Sturdy. Inexpensive. pick two.

I believe Benro has a pretty solid reputation for making good quality tripods.
The one you are showing does have the Arca-Swiss style clamp that looks like it will fit your tripod collar foot as the foot is notched to fit in that style clamp. Notice in the upper left of the series of pictures of the ball head, it shows that a plate is included that can be affixed by the screw to either a lens foot or camera body. Notice those two screws on the plate? Just like your foot, they keep the plate (and what is affixed to it) from sliding out of the clamp if it's not tightened down completely.
Now if your tripod collar foot fits nice and securely to the clamp, that plate won't be needed. You can use it to attach to your camera body and clamp the camera to your tripod when you want to do some macro or landscape or even portrait work with a smaller lens.
Should that foot not fit the clamp as solidly as you'd like, then you can use the plate to screw to the foot and that will clamp in nicely. You would need to remove the two small screws on the foot first otherwise the plate won't be flush for a nice tight fit. It may not even allow the plate to attach at all.

Thank you guys for the answers!! I’m going with this tripod. Maybe later I post some pictures with the tripod with the lens attached. By the way, I really enjoyed the collar and recommend, if you think you will need one! See you!

Benro tripods are well regarded. I bought one and would recommend them. Their ball heads are not so well regarded.
Sirui K range of ball heads are the popular cheaper choice: K-10X / K-20X / K-30X / K-40X

+1. I do the same thing with my 200mm 2.8 prime. Love hand holding with collar when not on monopod.

Purchased Vello collar from B&H.
