I have decided to buy a sony a6300 and I am so inpatient but I imagine there will be deals on cameras on black friday which is two months away.

Does anyone know if B&H photo has black friday deals?? Where do you guys normally get cameras and accessories on black friday?

I dont normally shop on black friday. Are there even deals on cameras?

I would definitely check out greentoe.com
A few years ago I bought a Canon 6d from them at a pretty good price.
Make a low offer and if nobody bites, you can always increase your bid. Good luck :)

I think you can expect to find sales on eBay and Best Buy on the a6000 for sure. B&H/Adorama will likely have some kind of promotion as well.

eBay will likely have deals through BuyDig/Beach Camera and other sellers--maybe $799 for the kit?

At this point, it doesn't hurt to wait a couple of months before actual Black Friday to see the deals.

honestly with all the ad scans that happen you should be able to know if you can find a deal within a month or so...

It is probably worth waiting if you are getting a 'consumer' level camera. Usually no great deals on 'pro' or 'prosumer' level cameras on BF. Also, maybe not worth waiting if you have NO camera now!

10% off on refurbs would be great, if it happens!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Canon usually has 10% off refurbs. I think they had one not long ago. I could be wrong.

*EDIT*
It was on lenses and not bodies

I sold my 60D and have no camera now so Its kinda hard waiting that long.

In order to determine this, you should assess the photo opportunities that are most likely to happen between now and Black Friday, as well as the amount of money you think you will save if you wait until Black Friday. Then you need to pit one against the other and determine which is more valuable to you.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

If you're young and $$ is tight then wait. Canon Price watch will clue you in to BF deals. If you're older, just buy it and have fun, life is too short.

Steve

I'd wait and then use greentoe. In most cases, you're going to get the best deal using greentoe. I've also noticed that there are better camera deals after black Friday.

Canon 5D3, Canon XTI (IR converted), 24-70 f2.8L, 16-35 f4L, 50 1.4, 70-200 f2.8L, 100 2.8 macro, 430 ex & 580 exII speedlights.
