Hey all.

I remember a while ago waiting patiently for yongnuo to release something which would trigger and control multiple speedlites to save having to go and manually adjust them.

Did it ever get released? Has it been superceded? Is it any good?

Thanks in advance y'all :-)

It is the YN-E3-RT. It was released a while ago and is quite good. They can control different flash brands with the right receivers. Yongnuo's 600EX-RT flashes are knock offs of the Canon and perform just like them for the most part and have built in radios so no need for receivers with those.

Excellent, so I could have 4 of the 600ex-rt's and control the power of each of them individually from the yn e3 rt?

Yep. Precisely. You have all the same control of the remote flashes as if they were on camera.

I have exactly 4 Yongnuo 600 EX-RTs and use the YN-e3-RT to control all 4 off camera. Once you upgrade the firmware on all of them, everything should be fine.

Heya,

I use a TX-560 and I can control all my 560III's individually remotely from the controller (power, zoom, etc). It can have up to 6 groups, each speedlite can be in a seperate group, so I can control 6 individual lights. But also each group can have any number of lights, but each group will share settings. So 6 individual lights, or 6 individual groups of several lights, but I don't need more than that honestly. I generally use 3~4 tops, and even then, I think 3 is far more than enough for me. But the TX-560 is an awesome controller if you're using the manual line of the 560 series.

Very best,

+1 on the 560TX and 560 flash units. If all you want is manual flash this is a good way to go and you can't beat the prices.
