1. Never fan of 1/125 on the 85... I always prefer 1/160...
2. A few of those 1.4 shots looked a smidge front focused
3. These are also JPG sooc set to low sharpening:

I have to wait for my copy... I need raw... I need my test subjects... I need real world use :) Otherwise it's the best photos thus far.

Those 1.4 shots ARE front focused. When a Sigma nails focus it looks completely different.

And 5D3 jpg SOOC with sharpness at 0 means there is ALOT left to be desired.

I'm getting pumped again.... woot woot cmon' my lens be with me :)

no dude... look at those two shots with the trees in the background... leaves are butter smooth. I want to see how this thing handles leaves that are backlight shot at 1.4 blurness...

So far the bokeh on this lens is so buttery perfect it's nice. Still want to see some good large samples from raw.

This is actually the first proper review in the hand of a capable photographer with strobe and a 5D2. You are right! The tree just so creamy. Wow!! I'm surprised this is dated Oct 17 and I can't find it till now.

Here are some more images. Much better than other samples. http://www.lenstip.com …_HSM_-_sample_images.html (external link) I tried the 85 1.2 Canon and that lens is so unforgiving at 85 1.4

that's some damn good buttery bokeh, the old sigma 85 can't touch that

well my credit card just got charged for the 85 from adorama... I just checked adorama page for my status and it hasn't updated.

I'm assuming it's processing and going to ship today I hope... they said they don't charge until it ships...
