Spent a few hours at Seaside OR and at the Warrenton Marina this morning. Here are a few shots - hope you like them!

All with the 7D2 and 500/4 II with 1.4X III.

Black Turnstone (Arenaria melanocephala): (Year Bird for me)

Marbled Godwit (Limosa fedoa): (LIfer for me):

The light was incredibly harsh at around 11am, so the photo is so-so, but it is a lifer, so I am thrilled regardless! :)

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

For those interested, the turnstones and the surfbirds were on the rocks by the road at Seaside Cove at roughly 45.975960, -123.939516, while the godwit was on the Hammond Basin western jetty at 46.204903, -123.949628.
