I posted in the general Fuji thread but I'll post it here in case anyone is looking to purchase. Through greentoe I offered $1599 for the x-t2 bundle with the battery grip and got it approved and shipped immediately. Good option if that will save you about $100 off the normal bundle price ($1699). I've purchased through greentoe before and always an authorized dealer and non-gray market camera. Looking forward to contributing to this thread with some sports. Track and field will be the first sport I test it out on.

well it has nothing to do with the images actually. I'm thinking do I want the weather resistance, slighter bigger body and higher shutter speed. Also I plan on getting the 16-55 2.8 and it might be a little unbalanced on the xt20?

I have an X70 right now and that touch to focus is great for how i shoot so it would be missed if I got the xt2

Just a boring shot of my bedroom door in acros. Got good weather this weekend so I'll be testing it out more and putting the new AF system to work. The following weekend I'll be shooting indoor track so it'll be another good AF test environment.

Images will be the same on either, as for weather resistance, that totally depends on you. I've not once thought I needed weather resistance on any camera, but maybe I've been lucky. I took my T2i out in essentially a blizzard and got it drenched and ice cold, never caused any issues. I even just took my X100T skiing and not only did it get thrown around a bit from me falling dozens of times (my first time skiing  ), but it got wet from some snow going under my jacket too... still works perfectly.

As for the body, again, personal preference. The shutter-speed is a non-issue in my opinion thanks to Fuji's awesome electronic shutter capability. I've never understood the argument of balance with cameras either... especially when we're talking about a light system in general like a Fuji system. The only big arguments in favor of the X-T2 over the X-T20 (and their big ones) in opinion are the EVF and the extra controls.

Ultimately it's up to you. If I were looking for a camera replacement for my main body I would definitely go X-T2... if just looking as a supplemental camera, I'd stick with your X-T20 pre-order (or wait for the X-E3).

I went to a local camera store to hold the X-T10 and X-T1 since the newer versions are sold out and not available yet.

So it ultimately came down to size in my hands. I currently own an x70 and the xt20 will not be that much larger. It seems to me more of a compact system with smaller lenses attached. Also I plan on getting bigger lenses later and the 16-55 mounted on the xt10 was really unbalanced for my hands.

Shutter speed I'm not worried about anymore after doing a little more research. Also when I compared the evf from the xt10 to the xt1 it was night and day. And apparently the X-T2 finder is even bigger.

Lastly I want to go with the best body I can afford because I won't be switching bodies every year.

The X-T2 finder is brighter and has a faster refresh rate, but it's the same size as the X-T1.

If you can afford it for sure go with the X-T2, but you'd probably be just as happy with either.

That's the route I think I'll head. X-Pro1, XT-1, 10-24, 23, 56.

That'll cover me for landscapes ( 10-24 ), the kids running around ( 23 ) and more intimate shots of the family ( 56 ). I'll forego the grip as my XT-1 is the graphite one and I don't think.a black grip will look right.

When I was looking I was finding most places were out and on backorder but I placed my order and it had shipped pretty much immediately.
