Most are, but by no means all.

What lens + camera are you intending to mount? I makes a difference.

I was going to get a bag of some sort to store it in when not in use. I'll be using it with Canon 1DIII and Sigma 150-600c.

I see why you were asking about size. I have a Wimberley 2 which is great but very big and heavy for your setup. I also have a Lensmaster RH1 which I use for my 300 F2.8 which would be a lot lighter (and cheaper) whilst being more than up to supporting your gear. Lensmaster also do an even smaller gimbal (Traveller model) which may be of interest. I suggest Rob (the owner) for his suggestions. His site is here and he does ship internationally.

A bit more expensive are the Jobu offerings, I have not used them in anger but they seemed pretty/very good when I played with them in the camera shop:

I am sure there are other options out there.

Happy hunting..............

Dear Eddie,

OP-TECH makes a neoprene gimbal pouch. https://optechusa.com/gimbal-head-cover.html (external link) I don't have one, but I have been very pleased with everything I have purchased made by OP-TECH.

My wife made me a gimbal pouch out of fleece material and a draw string in about 30 seconds on her sewing machine. If my buddy who I lent my gimbal to brings it back soon I'll post a picture. I bought enough camo fleece material, draw string material, and spring loaded keepers for the draw string to make 10 pouches for about $ 10.00 at Joann Fabrics.

Regards,

Tim Murphy

Thanks Tim, I'm a big fan of Op-Tech products and forgot to check their site. My wife isn't much for sewing so that option is out.
