Any Mac users use and like this software ? Seems like a reasonable alternative to LR and fairly cost effective as well.

Don't know it. LR rules! Was a big learning curve.

For $25 what the heck. Not as sophisticated as LR but intuitive and probably has more than most will use. I just got tired of paying for LR and not using it all that much.

Well sure, give it a try if it's only $25.
I paid once for LR5 and have used it for the past three years, mainly in spring and fall, to edit 10K images.

.

Never heard of it. But maybe it's worth a try. Lightroom is confusing - I haven't even figured out how to get a single image into LR without having to go thru an extra step or two - it seems to keep wanting to import all of my photos. Maybe, hopefully, this Pictorial thing you mention would be much simpler????

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I thought the import process of LR was designed for idiots; maybe I'm a lot cleverer then I thought.

Using a Wintel platform I can't use the benefits Picktorial has to offer.
Picktorial seems to be OSX only.

Using Lightroom is not as difficult as it seems.
Look at Scott Kelby's:
http://how.lightroomkillertips.com/ (external link)
then click on the green "Read the book" button.
Scroll down and click [NEXT] until you see the chapter "Choose Just Certain Images to Be Imported?"
Hope this helps.
