I just looked at your post and remember seeing that one. Funnily enough I've never used my 6D that high

I guess my 6D and other crop sensor mirrorless bodies?
I know from what I've seen in reviews, the 80D has much cleaner shadows that previous bodies such as the M3 and 70D which is what interests me.
I can get the M5 at a local store with the 15-45 for only $1367 AUD which is cheaper than buying just the body (Cheapest legit place is $1399) so I may be picking this up tomorrow if I can't control myself

Free lens! and I kinda like the 14-45 for size reasons alone.
OK, the M5 is NO 6D that's for sure. It's a testament that the 6D still does so well ISO wise compared even to the latest like the 1DXii and Sony A7rii.
Compared to other crops that I have the M5 does well compared to the 7Dii as it should being almost or right at 2 years newer. Compared to the latest Sony crops Sony wins in ISO and DR. Even
Sonys 1 inch sensors (I have RX100v and Poof has RX100iii) the DR is spooky good for such a small sensor.
But from my very limited experience with the M5 it's all moot; which is to say I'm not going to purposefully shoot my A7Rii, the 1DXii, the M5 or anything else at ISO 12,8000!! Who would!
ISO can be a crazy thing. In daylight you can really push it, i.e. when there are no shadows to contend with. Look at this example at ISO 16,000.

For research on the abilities of the M5's sensor I'd look to 80D tests until DXO, LensRental, others put out the real scoop.
Me, well I don't buy cameras on spec alone....there is so much more to a camera than that and the M5 is certainly appealing. Def. not for everyone but on days
I'm carrying one of the bigger EOS bodies the M5 is surely to come along.
