Honestly the Tam 18-200mm is not on the high priority list-the 400/5.6 is. We've also pre-ordered 2 x OMD M1 mk IIs and have to get them outfitted with grips and extra batteries. All
good things in time.

I am really interested to hear from some real people who have used the EM1 mk2. it looks like it could be an amazing camera. There's a bunch of pretty awesome tech out there these days.

I hope I don't have to wait for a 2nd shipment to get my preordered M5. The closer it gets the more I am looking forward to it! I emailed metabones lastnight and asked them if they are planning on making ef-s speedboosters. If they do that will make things very interesting!

That would be interesting.
Speaking of EF-S lenses, for size/weight/IQ we'd be crazy not to consider them. I know the adapter adds size and weight but the EF-S lenses I have are wonderfully lightweight.
Now on the OMD M1-II, I just ordered 2 UHS-II cards=PRICEY. I have to wonder if they are really needed. Even the new Sony flagship a99ii uses 'normal' UHS-I cards and even with 42mp sensor it is capable of 60 raw images before buffer fills.

The omd em-1 mk2 is the new olympus flagship camera. It has some pretty impressive specs, like shooting 60fps in full res raw and pretty darn ridiculous IBIS that people have done 10+sec hand held shots with.

In Europe they are listing the 25th Nov. Mines on order but the shop´s unsure when it will turn up so is now the waiting game. Ordered mine body only with the adaptor deal. Plus the 11 -22mm lens as I probably wouldn´t use the kit lenses overly much and thinking if it all works out ,as it hopefully should, I can get rid of my 10_22 efs to cover the cost of the lens. Then use it with the adaptor and some of the smaller efs and ef primes to cover the rest.

Hot and an excellent review, mostly videocentric and that's ok for the vloggers.
I'm still waiting on the camera and someone with EF AF/AF-tracking....the M5 has landed
in many countries now so that will be coming up soon enough. Reports out of the UK
with a Sigma 150-600mm are excellent so my purchase of the 400/5.6 may not be in vain.

Hrm,

I'm interested to know how the M5 and the 22mm F2 STM behave together from an AF speed point of view. I love the 22mm F2 STM lens. But, I'm curious if it's truly just a slow-slow-slow to AF lens, or if it's the older M series AF just not being snappy. I'm wondering if the 22 STM focuses more quickly, along the lines of the 40 & 50 STM, with the M5. None of those lenses are as fast and silent to focus as the 18-55 STM (which is awesome), but I've always been pained by how slow the 22 STM is to focus on my EOS-M1.

I'm watching the M5. I had no interest before. But I'm gaining interest as a general family & travel camera.

Very best,

The 22 seems to focus plenty fast enough on my M3...I can only imagine it must be faster on the M5. Hopefully it will get here in the next 10 days so I can find out for sure!
The M3 made me a convert. I've recently acquired a 300L f4, and was disappointed with its focusing speed...until I removed the filter! Hello fast focusing! Good enough for me, and I mostly play with birds and airplanes...
That said, the M3 has a new owner awaiting it, (once the M5 makes its way into my greedy little hands.):-)

If I take enough pictures, at least one of them should turn out...maybe

what a change from the M1. I just sold my M1 because I never used it. Might consider getting one of these down the road if I get up on my Olympus OM-D I got for walking around.
