So i was hired to shoot this model, and i decided to "test" out my EOS M5 with her..... Compared to the MY 5D3 images, these were pretty darn good, not perfect, but damn good... oh yeah, and these were all JPEGS.... why, because i wanted to post these asap with little to no editing, only editing was resize for upload.

Taken with both: Canon 50mm STM f/1.8 and the Canon 85mm F/1.8

As a person who SOLELY makes a living from taking photographs (i wont say "I'm a professional photographer" because in today's IG world, everyone is a professional) I must say that i'm impressed with this little camera, but the image quality, at least for me, isn't all there... FOR VACATION, and fun stuff and videos, this camera is absolutely perfect, will i ever do a professional shoot with it, NO... will it come with me on vacation, parties and all over the world... YES!

The bad's:
I see two different images after i take them.... the LCD shows colors that are muted, while the EVF shows the images as they will look when you import them to your computer. After i take a photo i cannot rely on the real LCD for a proper readout of the images, no big deal really as i use histogram..... and another pet peeve, when switching to Video mode, the camera doesn't remember your settings you last set on video..... but the Quick menu is easy to access to make your changes! Thats it for me.... i don't own any of their EFM glass, so i cant give you guys reviews on it. lol

Nice shots!

Out of curiosity, have you tried shooting in RAW at all? I notice you say the IQ isnt there for you but without shooting RAW, you're not going to get to see all the IQ this body has to offer.

Yeah i have shot raw, but still the images are not as good as FF..... but, that's expected, no shock there. JPEG is the way to go for me on this camera, the RAW images are nice, buyt i didnt buy this camera to sit and process raw files, this is a "fun" camera, hence just shooting JPEGS and Videos.....

U shoot in my 5d3/1dx and spend countless hours editing... i've got things to do. lol :p

A Few other quirks!!!!

1.
The EVF diopter has is in a terrible place and its a hard slider, sometimes hard to nail down whats perfect for "My" eye......

2.
There is no way to turn off the EVF while shooting video.... times the senor thinks its your eye when you;re trying to touch focus...... could be annoying to film makers!

Headed out to test the videos again today with a dancer this time.... lets see how good tracking is! i'm not a videographer, but i would love to use this camera for small cool videos. I need one of those stabilizers after today. lol

Dtufino. Great work. Looks like the M5 could easily sub out for a pro if he had to.
I'm already a fan and shoot when I can :)
