re setting minimum shutter speed for Auto ISO ... No, unfortunately the M5 does not support this very useful feature. Only settable option for Auto ISO is the maximum ISO value.

Sounds like a high demand feature for a firmware update.

Thanks very-much for the confirmation agile_one. I will stick with my M original for the time being then, and keep my eye on what's going on update wise. By the same token, 80D owners would love to have focus-peaking in live-view, something the M5 has to its merit but not the 80D.

I'm not holding my breath though for feature additions to either camera, as sadly it's rare for Canon to ever add extra features to non-FF non-pro bodies via firmware updates, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Canon rolling out firmware updates. They don't do it often.

@therobveiller- The M5 does have auto ISO in manual with exposure compensation. For me auto-M, along with the EVF, is more useful than Av with auto ISO and setting min shutter speed limit. But I agree Canon should allow setting min shutter speed in Av.

I'm looking to replace my old M for better AF and auto-M with exp comp.

Went out and enjoyed some miserable weather with the new M5, so I'll start with some images made to look deliberately miserable:

probably a touch optimistic with the shutterspeed:

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

More holiday snaps - Browns Bay Auckland. As I thought .... fantastic carry around camera. With the adapter and Tokina 11 - 16 f/2.8. Love this lens

Took a ferry from Waterfront across to Devonport (Auckland NZ), and took this slightly long exposure using Haida ten stop on the Tokina 11 - 16 f/2.8.

Curious what you folks are using for a bag or pack for this camera?

I'm looking for a replacement for the LowePro Streamline 250 I'm using. Besides the M5 I have the EF-M 22, EF-M 15-45 and I like to carry my EF-S 55-250 STM with adapter plus the usual extras. The Streamline doesn't cut it for me and my kit.

Thanks,
Bryan

I have a ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 10 that I used to carry my original M, 22, and 18-55 in. Unfortunately, while the M5 with 22 f/2 will fit, I can't really get another lens in there with it.

When I got the M5 I picked up the Mirrorless Mover 25i and that will fit the M5 w/ attached 22f/2, along with the bare M, 50 1.8STM on adapter, 11-22, and the 18-55 or 18-150. I'm pretty happy with that setup. I haven't tried making it work with a different lens mounted on the M, although it might be possible with some rearranging.

Conveniently that makes it a light and versatile kit to walk around with while having two bodies and four lenses. I took it out recently but pulled out the 18-55 and space for the M, and took my LX100 in their place.

I recently picked up a Tenba DNA 8 bag. It is a little pricy, but I have the larger model (DNA 15) for my DSLR and have been very happy with it. It is a sharp looking bag and has one of my "musts" that many smaller bags don't, a removable shoulder strap. Comes with a rain cover and top zipper for easy quick access.

Tight fit but I can get the M5 with 15-45mm lens attached, 11-22mm, 55-200mm, and 22mm prime in main compartment. Pockets for little extras like a tripod QR plate, spare batteries, charger, filters. If I can forgo the 55-200mm lens I expect I can get my (soon to arrive) 430EX-RT III flash in the bag in it's place.

Padded compartment to accommodate iPad mini sized tablet as well.

I can't remember the exact model (will check later) but I use a very small Lowepro carry bag for my M5 which I just keep inside my backpack on my daily travels.
