I'm not excited about that. i love shooting in direct sunlight and shooting wide open..... but otherwise, this little camera is awesome! -David T.

Nice shots David, but remember, in the heady days of film a max shutter speed of 1/1000th was normal, yet we still managed to shoot stuff at f/1.8 in direct full sunlight with ISO 100 stock - we just used ND filters on the lens - nowt wrong with doing that now.

roseyposey Cream of the Crop More info | Mar 23, 2017 00:57 | #652 Few shots yesterday over at Waitangi in Hawkes Bay ... the area is very popular for fishing, but unfortunately people also use as a dumping ground for garden rubbish. It's hoped the new development will encourage people to take pride in the area, and look after it. They were catching a few fish - these guys had snapper, which is a very popular table fish here; trevally, which I know nought about; and kahawai, which lots of people call rubbish, but I enjoy it when fresh.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/TaJLyt Olympus M1 MkII, Olympus M5 MkIII: Lenses covering 8 - 300mm

Mar 23, 2017 08:25 | #655 So I am wondering if anyone has experience with this camera vs. the Fuji system, and how it compares IQ wise. I like the chance to use my existing canon lenses without having to break the bank on a new system. Of course, realizing we are all photographers on this site and that typically only WE can tell the difference between the camera quality between bodies/systems. 1DMK4, R6MK 2, 1NRS, 5DMK4, 16-35 4.0, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 II, 70-300 4-5.6L, , 17-85, 50 1.8, RF 50 1.8, 18-200, 135L, Mamiya 645AF, Metz 60-Ct-1, Metz 58 Profoto A1

The main thing I notice with what he has (Fuji XT1) is the faster native glass vs the relatively slow native EF-M offerings I have for my M. In terms of IQ I can see no discernible difference, but we have never been in the same place taking the same shot at the same time to give a 100% direct comparison, I only go by his images I have seen of familiar local landmarks that I too have photographed.

Small, fast sharp lens were a factor for me. Canon still aren't taking mirrorless seriously as its lens line-up shows. F2 is my slowest lens in my Fuji set up, which is the fastest M lens. Yes you can adapt, but then the system gets big and heavy. I almost bought Sony, I visited my brother in law last night, he has an A7s, a 24-70GM and a 85/1.4GM and those lens are HUGE on the body, HUGE. Ian
