On the 70D there's an option to disable shutter if no SD card. I've been looking for it on the M5, but may have missed it. Is it available? Saw there's a disable without lens ..

Thanks

I was pretty sure I had it as well, but looked through and couldn't see it. Mind you I am post night duty almost psychotic "-)

Lets put it this way, with no sd card, my cam will release shutter but display says "cannot record" "no memory card"

I have only gone out once and found the card was still at home in the cardreader. Decided the cf i kept in my wallet for such occasions needed updating to a sd...

edit: after having more of a play, found the camera will release the shutter with no card inserted. edited comment above.

I took 3 images today then got home and saw the SD card. Camera must have some storage as was able to download them . But jpeg not RAW. Annoyed even though they are less than average images

I like the jpg's that this camera produces so that's how I like to shoot most of the time.

I like to have the RAW, and do my own processing, so tend to shoot RAW and jpeg, used to do a large jpeg, but now the smallest option, just for being able to which image I'm dealing with when importing.
