These are great Don! I grew up in New England and miss the variety of color. CO has fantastic mountains, but nothing beats NE fall color!

Ohio Pass Road (CR730) outside of Crested Butte. There's a scree-slope about 1/3 way down the road towards Gunnison. Great place to pull off and shoot pix.

First is on CO145, just south of the Ophir turnoff. There's a pullout with a fantastic view of the CR63L and San Miguel Valley (hence the 63L name).

Second was on Ohio Pass Road (CR730) outside of Crested Butte, heading towards Gunnison.

I had one day to go down to Ridgway/Telluride and the weather was not good, also I was a little late for good color. I think it was early this year.

The fall foliage change here in Colorado was definitely 7 - 10 days early. It's been rather unpredictable the last 3-4 years. :(
