Though the whitetail deer rut hasn't really started in this area yet, the young bucks are already on the prowl and getting dummer than a box of rocks. Several of them on my property have been hot on the trail of the does now, though the does aren't having much of that, but it is really entertaining to watch them. I think I could have walked up and roped this little buck. I think they realize their prospects of getting a date are pretty slim once the big boys are in the game. Gotta love this time of the year.:-)

Hey, Terry!

That's pretty impressive for a 1 1/2 year old to already have a kicker point - he's gonna be a dandy in a few years!

Like you, I absolutely love this time of year - wait all year for the rut, and now it's at our very doorstep! (for you, quite literally)

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks Tom. I'm hoping to find a few of the bigger bucks when the rut finally kicks in. Your big buck pics are very impressive.:-)
