I did a photo shoot. Now the hard part - picking! Critique is welcomed.

Thanks!

Tweaking the white balance would improve all of them :-)

My picks are 3 and 8. All need to be warmed up on wb. 3 could benefit from opening up the shadows and 8 see if there's a way to bring out the highlights and shadows more since it's very flat lighting but that pose is precious. I would love to see edits on these - great starting point here.. just needs a bit more to really shine!

#7 because it's for a casting. Sorry but all the ones in a jacket, shirt and tie look like corporate headshots.

I'd definitely go with number 8.

I'm assuming all these are pre-edit as they all look like flat RAWs. With a tweak and a colour boost they'll all look a lot better.

Tight crop is desirable in casting headshots.

#7 is good and tight. Crop #3 tigher.

Thanks for all the help & Suggestions. It looks like they're going with #7.

I re-processed from RAW and tried warming them up. Too much?

I sort of suck on color corrections & PP but she's taking it to a pro lab that does color corrections.

Just saw this post. I'd just re-cropped them all (originals were from the JPGs, these are RAW) and could have been tighter. I'll tweak them again.

She's a friend and was just using snapshots previously, still getting work from them. She's ecstatic over these but man, I'm kicking myself for not taking WB shots! Its been an education. This was the 2nd shoot - the first was was a dud. Agent said to "capture more energy". I think these qualify but still aren't as good as I'd like.

That was my pick. I didn't post any that I didn't like but I thought #1 would have been a hands down winner with #7 a close 2nd. I hadn't even considered #3 would blow the others away.
