All those brands are either overpriced or not portable for me
Any softbox with non flexible speedrings are way old

I only use:
SMDV
Jinbei
Parapop

I do like Elinchrom's though

Old school Chimera user here. Multiple versions of mini's/strips/rectangular. I use the mini's and occasionally the strips in the studio otherwise they're only brought out when I'm on-location..

I have a Chimera large which can also work as a white background for headshot. As well as two Chimera smalls with grids. And Ellinchrom 69", 39"DO,

Some other I have like a Assymetrial Strip which is really good for jewelry and product shot too..

Been using Elinchrom metal dishes of all types outdoors -- Fireball, Hi Perfomance, Beauty Dishes 27", 17" & Square. All usually with grids.

Soft box -- Rice Bowl. With front diffuser off with grid.

When I use one, Chimera is my choice for a well-made softbox—and always with their quick-release speed ring. Not the cheapest combo, but fast and safe to deploy. I also have a medium lantern by Profoto of similar quality. That said, panels are much cheaper and offer creative options beyond a SB.

Canon, Nikon, Contax, Leica, Sony, Profoto.

If I could afford Chimera when I bought mine, I would have. At the time I bought Photoflex. Nice and not too expensive grids. I do have a SP Systems 37" octa which opens like an umbrella and I love it for my outdoor model shoots.

I prefer Elinchrom modifiers in general. The Rotalux soft boxes are great. A
So like the option of using deflector dishes with them. Very versatile, fairly easy to set up, small and light for transport and great light quality.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
