Is there any image stitching software that is truly easy to use?

From their site:
Autopano supports more than 400 graphical formats in input, including the RAW files of nearly all cameras. The full list is available on this page. Common and recommended file formats are *.jpg, *.tif, *.png, *.psd and *.psb

Here is a link to download a trail if you want to play about (external link) But do read up on how to use it as it takes a little figuring out, it is very good.

Ice stiches RAW files straight off. Easy to import files too. Just click create new panorama from stills, then click add images (hold ctrl whilst selecting images. Follow the blue arrows at the top. At end click export to disc,:choose Adobe Photoshop and ensure the box marked maximize compatibility is ticked or it won't work. Gives you a DNG you import in PS or Lightroom. ߘ

That sounds very interesting . . . so if the white balance is all over the place, different in each frame, I can stitch them together first, and THEN adjust the white balance so that they all match?

.

I can guarantee you that if you cannot wrap your mind around making your image set into a pano in Photoshop, there is an even slimmer chance you will tolerate Autopano Pro or Giga.

If WB, ISO, EXP etc is slightly out in one or more images, then where PS left a line between each stitch, ICE fixes that 90% of time.

Funny you mention that company. I did a brief stint shooing real estate about 5 years ago and Autopano was the easiest and most reliable for making 360 degree panos. I remembered them as Kolor in another thread.
