Both pricey. Weird thing about the new 70-200 is they swapped the position of the focus & zoom ring. IMHO, this is a stupid move. 70-200 will start selling at $2800, the 19mm PC is $3400. If I were cynical, I'd guess they are getting out of the photography business and these prices are telling people it's time to move to Canon. The Canon 70-200 2.8 can be picked up for under $2k, and from all the reports I've seen is an excellent lens. Canon's 17mm tilt-shift lens is under $2200, and is also good based on what I've read. I'm hoping Sigma sees this as an open door to release some new lenses that compete with these two.

I'm not all that happy about the position of the zoom ring either. It's a reasonable position on a longer and much heavier lens but on this where you're going to be supporting the camera body as much as the lens, I think it's better being a bit closer in to the lens mount.

I wonder how far they're going to progress the optics on this one. It is really just about as good as the well lauded Canon Mk2 so any improvement will give us an excellent lens. Another thing I'm wondering is how much this lens changes its focal length towards MFD. The VR2 shortened up dramatically (not much longer than effectively 110mm from memory) and this one has an even shorter MFD
