I haven't found a solid answer from Google or Youtube:
Will HSS or ETTL work if I have a 560tx mounted on my camera and a yn-622c attached to a HSS or ETTL capable speedlight. I am trying to figure out what units I am going to buy as my Speed lights set-up.

Most of the time I will be shooting Manual so the 560tx with some 560 IV's will be perfect from what I have read and understood. But occasionally I would like to shoot outside and would like/need HSS and ETTL for more dynamic situations.

The reason I want the 560tx as my transmitter is the ability to shoot with 6 separate groups, whereas the 622tx only controls 3 groups.

Any suggestions?

Heya,

Nope. I have both. The ETTL/HSS will not happen, you can trip them like manuals, but not like ETTL/HSS.

If you want ETTL/HSS, use the TX-622 & YN622. If you want manual, use 560/603.

Do you need 6 separate groups?

I use the 560III's with the TX-560. When I want ETTL/HSS I use my YN685 on camera. But I also have a YN622 so that I can use the YN685 off camera and keep ETTL/HSS (it has a built in YN622 & built in RF603). I can also use the YN685 the same as one of the 560III's because it has both wifi receivers and works on both protocols.

Very best,
