Hi, pls tell me what you think of these pictures and how to improve. I followed some of the suggestions you guys gave me last time, still cant find a B&W conversion method that i like. The post processing is a bit rough, thanks.

The first one lacks focus for me, it doesn't do or say much.

The second one is incredible. Very very impressive work.

Third one seems unfocussed again, not my cup of tea.

The last one is excellent as well.

I don't do this type of photography so I can't really give much critique, only my gut reaction to the images.

I like the second pic, and the third too somehow. You seem to be doing well, the only way to improve is to keep at it, which you are doing. The thing about your series of photographs is that it seems to be a hodgepodge of different processes. It might do well to stick first to one type of post processing first so that your posted pictures will hve a sense of continuity.

What editing program do you use? Are these pics taken at Pasay City? Such a wealth of photographic possibilities - how do people react when you point the camera at them? Or do you do so stealthily?

Photoshop was used for editing, and the pics were taken in Quezon city and also in front of Quiapo church.
For now i shoot stealthily, either concealing the camera, with zoom or twist-flip LCD screen.
Some people dont like it when you point camera at them.
Also its not good idea to openly carry around expensive camera in some areas of city.

I just joined this forum.

Picture 2 is amazing. It can be interpreted many ways, the subjects could be in a very desperate situation or they could be having a family day out.

It is also unclear where this picture is taken, this could be many places in the world - the only thing that gives it away is the writing in English and the "US" in the background, if you got rid of these in PhotoShop I feel it would really add to the intrigue.

3 is interesting too - again the writing in English gives away a little.

Hi weisdaclick
Welcome to the forum!

They were shot in Philippines.

I dont think the kids were part of same family, they just happened to be in front of camera at the same time.

2 is good ... but too much contrast ... colors are off. This would look good in B&W. The others lack a center of interest, lack of composition and image quality.

The second and last ones are excellent. I also like your editing method - it's unusual, but it works for me.

2 is very good. although for some reason, theyre too sharp and the people almost look like theyre blending out of the photo. like 3d or something.

I also like your post processing style. Unique - gritty.
