These hunky and handsome guys don't visit us very often, but three males did today. One doesn't see them nearly as often, especially in the eastern US, as one did 30-40 years ago. But they are always a treat when they do show up.

Those are fantastic shots! They aren't as common or irruptive as they were years ago. Last time I saw any here in west central Ohio was back in lat fall of 1998.

Thank you very kindly. I don't recall the timeframe exactly, but they used to be a western bird, then expanded their range to the east coast, and now appear to be retrenching. I'm glad that a few are still around.

Nice Al, The same goes for up here, I do see a few groups now and then but every tree use to be full of the in the fall.
