Retraction of the lens

It should be customizable if the lens is retracted or not. This would be useful if you have a lensmate or Canon adapter mounted. So the time for turning the camera on could be reduced.

I agree it is a nuisance to have to wait for the lens to open itself.

You should be able also to turn it off with the lens open. This would mean you could conserve battery power between shots but not have to wait so long to start shooting again (or close).

The lens cap would need to be adjusted to allow for both situations. Maybe a groove of the diameter of the lens would do. It could cover the lens base too to stop dust entering there.
