Hey i just bought the XT 5days ago, and it has been 5 days full of joy and happiness. I bought the kit because i didnt have enough money to consider a better lens but im earning a bit of money to buy a better "all arround" lens. Wich lens you propose me ?

Welcome to POTN!
tamron 28-75 2.8, sigma 24-70 2.8. it's niceto have a wider aperture when you can and these choices are decent. You could also go the fixed focal length route and get a prime like a 35 f/2 or 28 1.8, and it'll equal about a 50mm view on a film camera. The zooms listed above are very popular.

If you like landscapes as I do, then the Canon 17-85mm IS, is a decent choice for under $500. Not great for low light action, but a nice walk around lense if you have decent light. Takes a decent sunset photo too.

Rebel XT, 17-85IS, 50 1.8 more glass to come.

Consider the Sigma 17-70. With a cropped sensor, the 28mm is not wide so it makes landscape and cityscape shooting difficult.

17-85 or 17-40 if you are landscapes focussed. 28-75 Tamron and 24-70 Sigma offer a little more range but are limited at the wide end.

I'd go for the 17-85 IS as long as you don't mind and EF-S lens. It will give you the wide angle that the 28-135 won't. But if you don't require the wide angle side of things go for the 28-135 IS It will give you a little more reach at the exspence of the wide angle and is not an EF-S lens.

Good thing about dslr's, especially Canons, are that there are many many options for lens.
