... the Cubs won the World Series.

I've been a Cubs fan for a long time and always thought this was a long shot.

Well long shots come in.

I don't watch baseball much, but this series was riveting, 2 teams both due for a win, one in a state to my left, and one in a state to my right. It was very fun to watch the last few games and the final last night! There are a few generations that have lived their entire lives loving sports and the Cubs wishing for this to happen, but never saw it.

Chicago police said more than 5 million people attended the rally in Grant Park.
According to Wikipedia that's the largest non-religious peaceful gathering in history.
Considering its the Cubs maybe it should be considered a religious gathering.

It certainly was a gathering of the faithful. :-D

Sam (son and current owner of Chez Goat'e) still has the original goat. It is stuffed though. Ive seen it.
