We should have a sticky or ongoing thread that is strictly for people looking for a prebuilt PC and/or monitor deals. Something that wouldn't be necessarily photography related but obviously people would be buying for photography reasons if they are searching on here. Can make a rule to say only post deals of "i7 PCs with ≥16GB RAM and ≥1TB HDD" so we aren't getting people posting up some underpowered i3 or devices with 4GB of RAM or the such that are just cheap.

It'd be better than flooding the Marketplace Watch sub. I have seen a few people start a thread with a PC deal that have grabbed the attention of other members in the sub forum. For instance I saw this deal this AM:
https://slickdeals.net …-r9-360-579-free-shipping (external link)

And thought this would be great for someone who just wants to grab and go with specs like:

Dell Small Business has Dell Inspiron 3650 Desktop for $949 - $370 w/ coupon code DELLBIZ579 = $579. Shipping is free. Thanks GoodDay

Specs
Intel Core i7-6700 Quad Core 3.6GHz CPU
16GB DDR3L Memory
2TB (7200RPM) Hard Drive
AMD Radeon R9 360 2GB GDDR5
2x USB 3.0
4x USB 2.0
1x HDMI
1x VGA
DVD-RW
802.11bgn WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit (Includes Win 10 Pro License)

And I know that building isn't something for everyone, as much as many of us know that building yourself can be rewarding and cheaper in the long run, but a prebuilt can be perfect for those who just need a system and don't want to waste time researching.

Any thoughts?

Seems like not a bad idea, but at the moment I would suggest that i5 and 8 GB RAM would be about the right minimum specification. Both of those should be more than adequate for LR/PS use.

Definitely agree and it was just an example. I will always say that people don't need more than an i5 if they are just a hobbyist. Although with prebuilts, the i7 chips in prebuilts are frequently on sale so why not?

Although a note like that would just reduce post of "Hey look, a Pentium G3220 with 8GB of RAM. and a 500GB HDD for $200!" which isn't a bad deal for a computer but would frustrate a member if they didn't know any better and purchased it to find out it was dog slow on exporting images.

Personally I think the current method of posting links in the "Computers" section works well. The Market Watch area is a bit more general, indeed it is to "Share information on good deals, coupon code stuff, second hand gems you see in stores, good shops, good service, best and worst places to buy..." If we are talking strictly PC deals they should be under Computers where they tend to naturally get pushed down as they expire.
