havent heard much about them in a while...

when i was shooting for a local hockey team, i joined CPS Gold (i think). $100 and had to have a bunch of "pro" gear...

i got a nice book i looked through once, a neoprene camera strap (still in the plastic sleeve because it was too stretchy for my liking) and a card to carry in my wallet (i didnt). i got the regular certificates for cleaning/service or shipping of equipment (i dont recall)...

are members here still joining? is there any advantage to renewing? is CPS still sending put little freebies? (one year there were memory card wallets)...

just curious about the program...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

Can't speak about other the CPS program for other countires, but i've been a member here in New Zealand for a few years now.

Some of the 'freebies' I have received:
- Free sensor clean / health check for each of my camera bodies (easily covers the cost of membership)
- Free invites to events and launches
- Trial / loan gear: got to play with the 5D4 before official release, 1DX2 just after release, 1 month trials of the 100L, 24L, 35L2, 135L

But to me the most useful perk has been the overseas support. For the past 3 years i've been shooting weddings in Europe during the northern summer (when it is winter here in NZ) and Canon CPS have given me 5D3's and lenses to use so that I don't have to carry all my equipment with me.

So in summary, I find that the cost of membership is well worth it!
