using 1dmx ii with tamron 150-600 . BIF shots look oof and have noise.. Admit that my BIF technique is not soloid. using AI serov AF , AV mode. Used case III was not happy . these two shots used case II. both photos were cropped 1:1. Please let me know ways to improve.

regards

anil

Lack of detail might be due to:

- how far away the subject is. (if these are 1:1 crops, and I understand what you mean by that, then the bird is simply too far away to get enough of the camera pixels on it to give us much detail.)

- Poor lighting. The light is all behind the bird. No light on the side of the bird we are looking at.

To improve, you must get closer, and you must get the light on your subject. (all easier said than done, but that's the fact of it.)

Thank you. one more observation.

When i downloaded the photos into DPP i could see that focus points ( i chose middle 9) are off from the bird, of rmost of photos.

When i was shooting, i had a feeling that i was following the bird properly.

even when focus point is not on bird , i got some relatively sharp photos. Am i correct in assuming that bird is in same plane as the focus point. (though point is not on bird)

regards

Anil
